You come back home from a hard days work. You go to your mailbox to grab your mail. You find that it's all credit card bills and notices. All this is a dismal reminder of the debt you are in. You are trying really hard to pay off your credit card bills. Sometimes you use one credit card to make payments on another credit card, but it seems that you are only getting further and further behind. You walk into your home and put the Credit Card bills in an already piling collection. Then you check your voice mail on the phone, and all you hear are a few bill collectors harassing you about not making your payment on a credit card bill.

That is an example of what a lot of people go through when it comes to debt. Credit cards, car payments, and mortgages are getting harder to pay. And, with the economy the way it is, it isn't making the situation any easier to deal with. Inflation is rising fast, and peoples income are not balancing with the cost of living. And as a result, people are finding it harder to make ends meet. It is because of these financial hardships that people are considering getting second jobs. Second jobs that, because of the job market, may be even be harder to find.

But now, people are taking a different route. People are tossing the idea of getting second jobs and are looking for a home based/online business. With all the benefits of having a home based business, who can blame them? Here are some of the benefits of having and home based/online business vs. having a second job.:

1. Hours: When you have a second job, your time is more stressed. You may have to leave your first job quickly so you can be on time for your second job. Not to mention the hours that you would work would be a big inconvenience. Whatever time you are scheduled, is what you have to work. At the end of the day, you are tired and hardly have any time for yourself. With a home based business, YOU decide what hours you want to work. If you come home one day, and you're too tired to work, you don't have to. Since this is your business, YOU are the boss, which leads me to number two.

2. Boss: When you are at your second job (or any job), you are under the dictates of your boss. It's hard enough just having one boss, now you have to deal with two. For a lot of people, that means double the demands, and double the increasingly high expectations. And, if you mess up, you have a higher power to deal with. Hopefully, if you do make a few mistakes, your boss will be understanding enough to realize that it's going to happen from time to time. But, you also have to realize that your boss also has a boss. So, if you mess up, they mess up. But, with a home based business, you are your own boss. You will have NO ONE to answer to but yourself. And, if you make a mistake, you can just put it in as a learning experience for growing your business.

3. Money: This is the only reason why people get second jobs. With a second job, you will be making a set amount of money. Whatever you do, no matter how many hours you work, or how hard you work, you are set at that salary or wage. You don't have a potential to make a large income at you second job. With a home based business, it's the opposite. When you have a home based business, the amount of money you can make is endless. There are a number of people right now who are making 5,10,20 thousand dollars a month. There are people who quit there full time job to work from home. With a home based business, you can not only get out of debt, but you can buy that new car that you always wanted. Maybe redecorate your home, or pay for that dream vacation that you always wanted to take.

As I have outlined, there are a lot more benefits to having a legitimate home based/online business rather than a second job. And people are experiencing these benefits right now.
